Lisa Zilker has a BFA in Fine Arts & Art Ed from School of Visual Arts, New York, NY. Attended Parsons School of Design, New York, NY, Awarded Fine Arts Scholarship Roslyn School of Painting, Roslyn, NY, Awarded Scholarship.
She has received many accolades for both her teaching and artwork. Specialties in portfolio preparation with teens most of her students receive full or partial scholarships.  She has worked with Outreach for Job Path in the NYC Mentor Program, working with individuals with disabilities adolescents and adults; and worked with Outreach including Holiday and summer camp. Art Center of Northern NJ, New Milford, NJ Directed Summer Art Camp for 50 children: oversaw day-to-day activities; supervised, emceed the Summer Shows (comprised of an art exhibition, drama production, dance recital) as well as set up art shows. Taught beginner thru advanced Life drawing for Adult Education Coordinator: Very Special Arts at Columbia University, NY, NY Headed the workshop for 300 participating NYC schools, awarded certificate of recognition from the NYC Board of Education, Taught over 250 students ages 7 to 14.
She has also developed art programs for many youth organizations including Job Path, Children's Aid Society Wagon Road Camp: Day camp & one week of sleep-a-way for special Ed. and YMCA.
Her artwork is collected worldwide as far reaching as Australia, Denmark, and Belgium as well as many corporate and private collections. She is a Renaissance woman her artwork ranges from painting, drawing, sculpting, welding, mixed-media collage and photography. Her work is regularly exhibited, including a Solo show at The National Arts Club, group shows include Sylvia Wald & Po Kim Art Gallery, The Nassau County Museum, Islip Museum and more.
